The Turtle-Flambeau Scenic Waters Area is a true Northwoods wilderness experience. Created in 1926 by the damming of the Turtle and Flambeau Rivers, has become a sanctuary for adventurers and wildlife alike. Encompassing over 40,000 acres of wilderness, the area holds history in its pocket and provides a rare opportunity to check out from your daily life and step into the kind of experience that makes for a lifetime of storytelling.

Launch from Murray's Landing and head into the heart of the most scenic section of the TFSWA. Located on the eastern edge of the area, Murray's Landing provides easy access to the ecological diversity that makes this wilderness special.

Island campsites provide ideal lunch stops or basecamp for a multi-day exploration.

Explore the bays, inlets and islands on your way to Fisherman's Landing for take-out and return to River's Edge.
